Two 1990s rooftop apartments were demolished and combined into a single apartment. The open living area was divided into zones for both public and private use. A built-in fireplace near the entrance acts as a divider, while a wooden screen with shelving conceals the bedroom doors. Large lift-and-slide glass doors flood the space with light from the terrace, which is shielded by custom-built plant boxes. A raised platform by a triangular bay window offers a cozy retreat. The main access route through the kitchen transforms the area around the cooking island into a natural gathering point. A light, cantilevered staircase leads to the roof terrace with panoramic views.
The winter garden, accessed via a hidden staircase, features long views and a roof opening framing the sky. The side wing contains private spaces, including a master bedroom with a freestanding bathtub, walk-in wardrobe, and a bathroom with a circular shower and sauna. Throughout the apartment indirect lighting creates a soft evening ambiance. Energy efficiency was prioritized with an improved thermal envelope and two roof-mounted heat pumps powering the heating and cooling system.
