MÜ5 | Attic conversion

2013 | Berlin | Building in existing buildings | 310 m2 | LP 1-4

Three apartments, including a spacious terrace, were built in the attic of a 5-storey Wilhelminian style building in Berlin – Friedrichshain. Inspired by the existing building (brick, half-timbered structure), the focus of the extension was on the integration of existing structural elements. A newly built elevator connects the three upper floors to the intermediate landing via a steel bridge.
