Where do you come from? Where do you live? Where are you going to? These are essential questions in our fast pace world where the longing for a place where we feel at home is so strong.In 25 episodes and 6 portraits we are approaching the idea of home which concerns each and one of us in its own individual way.
Every time the door to an old Berliner apartment opens, even when the apartment are similar cut, the visitor encounters a different world. This documentary focuses on the feeling “zuhause” (home) as well as the physical Zuhause (home). We have visited and interviewed 6 persons of various age in their respective apartments. The protagonists are of different origin, and have made very different life paths. Some just arrived in Berlin, others have always lived here, and others again are on their way to somewhere else. Although the associations to “Zuhause” are rather personal, most themes are of general interest.
